Per CDC and DPH guidance Maples is restricting all visits.

March 14, 2020. As of March 12, 2020 Per Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Department of Public Health (DPH) guidance Maples began restricting all visits. These precautionary measures are being implemented consistent with CDC and DPH requirements in response to the growing threat that the Coronavirus poses for our residents, staff, children, parents, volunteers, and friends. While there are still many unknowns regarding Coronavirus, we are monitoring government websites and continue to implement changes as recommendations and requirements are released.

We do understand the impact this situation has on our residents and families. Resident health and safety are our top priority. Thank you for your understanding at this most difficult time.

A quote from CMS Administrator Seema Verma from March 13,2020

I’d like to pause to say a word about nursing homes, which have been top of mind for the Task Force from the beginning. Later today, CMS will be issuing new guidance, directing nursing homes to temporarily restrict all visitors and nonessential personnel with a few exceptions such as end-of-life situations. We fully appreciate that this measure represents a severe trial for residents of nursing homes and those who love them, but we are doing what we must to protect our vulnerable elderly.
